Andriol is the brand and trade name for Testosterone undecanoate, which is an oral testosterone product. It has an oil base and comes in the form of gelatin capsules. The drug has several significant differences compared to other oral steroids. Oral steroids are almost always C17-alpha alkylated compounds (obtained by methylation). This is the process by which a methyl group is attached to the carbon of Testosterone at the 17th position (or another anabolic steroid). Due to this structural change, the hormone is able to overcome the hepatic barrier, and its oral bioavailability increases. The disadvantage of this modification is that C17-alpha alkylation is almost always associated with toxic effects and stress on the liver (hepatotoxicity), thereby limiting the duration of use and / or the maximum allowable dosage. Andriol does not have a methyl group at the C17 alpha position, despite being an oral form of Testosterone.

Side Effects of Andriol

Andriol (Testosterone undecanoate) is an esterified form of Testosterone
Since Andriol is a derivative of Testosterone, it has all the major side effects of this hormone.

Most often, consumers have to deal with estrogenic adverse events. Testosterone undergoes aromatization (conversion to estrogen) at a moderate rate by the enzyme aromatase. This means that as a result of using Andriol, estrogen levels may rise and this will lead to estrogenic unwanted effects. These effects include body fat, bloating and fluid retention, increased blood pressure (as a result of fluid retention), and the risk of gynecomastia. When using Andriol, it is recommended to consider the possibility of using some form of anti-estrogen during the course, or at least have a drug from this group on hand in case estrogenic adverse reactions occur.

The next group of major adverse reactions associated with Andriol are androgenic side effects. They are associated with masculinization and male secondary sex characteristics. Given that Andriol is a form of Testosterone, which is the main male androgen, the drug itself can cause androgenic reactions. In addition, the high androgenic activity of Testosterone products is due to their conversion to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a significantly stronger androgen than Testosterone itself. In such a situation, the use of a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor can mitigate androgenic side reactions by preventing the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone. Androgenic side effects include: increased aggression, increased body hair growth, increased sebaceous secretion, coarsening of the voice, and male pattern baldness if predisposed to it.

Course application of Andriol

Andriol (Testosterone undecanoate) is an esterified form of Testosterone
In most cases, Andriol courses should be carried out according to the same rules as the courses of any other Testosterone preparations, except that the dosages may be higher due to low bioavailability. This drug can be used alone or as a base Testosterone compound in combination with other steroids. The duration of the Andriol course can be 8-12 weeks or more. As mentioned earlier, this variant of Testosterone is not very popular among bodybuilders and athletes, so there is very little information about the course use of Andriol.
