Oxymetholone PharmaOxy 50 (also known as Anapolone or Anadrol) is a very radical synthetic steroid, a 17-alpha alkylated modification of dihydrotestosterone. It was developed to treat osteoporosis and anemia, and to stimulate muscle mass in malnourished and debilitated patients.

Due to its ability to influence hemoglobin levels and increase blood volume in the body, PharmaOxy 50 can cause an extremely powerful pumping effect in athletes, which therefore complicates the training process, because muscles ache almost immediately after the first hard exercise.
PharmaOxy 50 is a dihydrotestosterone derivative that gives it a chemical structure that does not aromatize. Despite the fact that oxymetholone is not directly converted to estradiol, it itself has pronounced estrogenic properties. It should be remembered that because of this peculiarity, only antiestrogens would fight estrogenic side effects, but not aromatase inhibitors, because aromatase is not involved in this process.
Some suggest that the estrogenic activity of oxymetholone is progestogenic, for example, with nandrolones. Side effects can be similar. However, medical research has shown that oxymetholone does not have any progestogenic activity.
Pharmacom Labs has managed to create an injectable version of this steroid. Due to the lack of liver passage, it shows higher bioavailability (efficacy) and lower hepatoxicity compared to the oral version.
